The KWC Colt 1911 Blowback is actually a misnommer for the M1911A1 'transitional' model, which first started production in 1934. This replica has features strikingly similar to its firearm counterpart; an arched, knurled mainspring housing and housing pin that holds a spring in place. A functioning firing pin block and grip safety actuator. The knurling over the dished/reduced trigger, the scalloped trigger frame, broadened front sight and extended tang of the grip safety are but a few of the authentic features that might appeal to WWII enthusiasts.
The gun weighs 200g less than the real gun and its single-stack magazine build is an experience in one's hands much different than other, more modern replicas. Furthermore, this gun field-strips just like the real M1911A1. While its FPS might seem unappealing, there are YouTube users who've shown than proper cleaning and correct lubrication, can improve the ballistic performance.
